Silversea dining by ship: S.A.L.T., La Dame, new venues and expedition choices
Compare Silversea restaurants across 12 ships, including Muse and Spirit updates, Nova and Ray dining, expedition ships and extra-charge reservations.
Jump to a section
Silversea’s food offering changes substantially by ship. Nova and Ray combine a broad restaurant program with The Marquee; Moon and Dawn have the established S.A.L.T. program; Muse and Spirit have received newer changes. The expedition ships and Galápagos-specific Silver Origin require their own lists rather than a shortened copy of a large ocean ship’s restaurants.
This comparison checks official ship and venue pages on September 20, 2026. It distinguishes standard meals from separately charged reservations such as La Dame and some Japanese dinners. Choose by the particular experience you want, with the itinerary and ship type given at least as much weight as the number of restaurants.
What matters for your decision
- La Dame has a reservation fee even though Silversea is sold as an inclusive cruise experience.
- Muse and Spirit now have S.A.L.T.-related changes that older restaurant lists may omit.
- Silver Origin and the polar expedition ships have different dining programs from Nova and Ray.
Compare the experience, not the inclusive label
S.A.L.T. Kitchen is a restaurant focused on the destination; S.A.L.T. Lab, a bar, a shore experience and a Chef’s Table are different products. Do not assume that seeing the S.A.L.T. name in a brochure means every ship offers every component or that every associated event is included.
The current La Dame page publishes a dinner reservation fee, with different amounts for Nova/Ray and the other listed ships. Kaiseki also distinguishes lunch from charged dinner arrangements. Check the current amount in My Silversea instead of importing an old fee from a forum post.
| Ships | Useful point of difference | Check separately |
|---|---|---|
| Nova, Ray | The Marquee and broad S.A.L.T. program | Chef’s Table and premium dinner charges |
| Moon, Dawn | Established S.A.L.T. Kitchen/Lab/Bar offering | Kaiseki and La Dame reservations |
| Muse | S.A.L.T. update from December 2025 | Current list instead of older Indochine descriptions |
| Spirit | 2026 S.A.L.T. Kitchen and Riviera changes | Seishin differs from Kaiseki |
| Shadow, Whisper | A smaller classic restaurant selection | No assumption of the larger S.A.L.T. roster |
| Cloud, Wind, Endeavour, Origin | Expedition-specific programs | Exact venue names and expedition schedule |
Silver Nova
Nova’s published choices include S.A.L.T. Kitchen, Atlantide, La Terrazza, La Dame, Kaiseki, Silver Note and Arts Café, with The Marquee combining outdoor grill and pizza offerings. It suits someone who wants to alternate several types of dinner on sea days. Keep a casual evening in the plan; the breadth of the list should create freedom rather than a requirement to complete every venue.

Silver Ray
Ray shares The Marquee concept and a broad lineup including S.A.L.T. Kitchen, Atlantide, La Terrazza, La Dame, Kaiseki and Silver Note. Compare its itinerary and available reservations with Nova rather than assuming a different food hierarchy between the sisters. If a small Chef’s Table experience is a priority, investigate it separately from ordinary S.A.L.T. Kitchen dinner.

Silver Moon
Moon lists S.A.L.T. Kitchen alongside Atlantide, La Terrazza, La Dame, Kaiseki, Silver Note, Spaccanapoli and casual choices. The S.A.L.T. Lab and Bar broaden the culinary program but are not extra full-service restaurants to add to a dinner count. A destination-focused dinner after a port day can be a useful way to connect the meal with what you explored ashore.

Silver Dawn
Dawn also offers the established S.A.L.T. program with a wide set of dining venues, including Atlantide, La Terrazza, La Dame, Kaiseki, Silver Note and Spaccanapoli. Choose the ship because that variety fits your travel style, then reserve the one charged experience you actually want. There is no need to pay for a premium dinner simply to make an inclusive cruise feel complete.

Silver Muse
Muse’s current program includes the S.A.L.T. changes introduced in December 2025. Its restaurant page should take precedence over older descriptions centered on Indochine. The published lineup also includes familiar choices such as Atlantide, La Terrazza, Kaiseki, La Dame and Spaccanapoli. Check the ship’s current dining map before using a past passenger’s venue-by-venue plan.

Silver Spirit
Spirit returned with dining changes in 2026, including S.A.L.T. Kitchen and the outdoor Riviera concept. Its Japanese restaurant is Seishin, which should not be renamed Kaiseki when comparing menus or charges. Use the current Spirit list for La Terrazza, La Dame, Atlantide and Silver Note as well; a pre-refit article can describe a materially different meal plan.

Silver Shadow
Shadow has a compact published selection built around The Restaurant, La Terrazza, La Dame and The Grill. It is a candidate for someone who prefers a familiar dining team and fewer decisions, provided the itinerary appeals. Do not promise S.A.L.T. Kitchen or the Nova-class restaurant spread merely because the ship is part of the same luxury brand.

Silver Whisper
Whisper also centers on The Restaurant, La Terrazza, La Dame and The Grill. A long voyage can still offer variety through changing menus rather than through a new room every night. If a specific modern venue is important to you, compare the larger ships before booking; if it is not, give the itinerary and accommodation more weight.

Silver Cloud
Cloud’s expedition restaurant list includes The Restaurant, La Terrazza, La Dame and The Grill. Plan the dining day around briefings and landings, with outdoor options dependent on conditions. A separately reserved La Dame dinner can be an occasion, but choose a flexible evening rather than a day already carrying an ambitious expedition schedule.

Silver Wind
Wind combines the expedition schedule with The Restaurant, La Terrazza, La Dame and The Grill. Its smaller set of venues should be assessed in the context of the voyage: the destination and activities are likely to occupy more attention than completing a restaurant checklist. Ask about return-time meal arrangements when the day’s program changes.

Silver Endeavour
Endeavour lists The Restaurant, Il Terrazzino, La Dame, The Grill and Arts Café. Il Terrazzino is the correct Italian venue name here; copying La Terrazza from another ship would mislead a guest looking at the deck plan. Treat casual café food as a bridge between activities and confirm full-meal service around the expedition timetable.

Silver Origin
Origin’s Galápagos dining centers on The Restaurant and The Grill. This is a destination-specific expedition product, not a smaller Nova-class restaurant program. Choose between an indoor meal and the outdoor setting according to the day’s conditions, and use staff guidance about regional ingredients rather than expecting every menu from the wider fleet.

Plan paid dinners around the menu you actually want
Start with the included venues and add a charged reservation only when its menu, setting or occasion justifies the cost to you. Read whether the advertised amount is per person and whether beverage pairings are part of the quoted experience. A dinner fee that differs by ship is not evidence that one meal is objectively better.
For a seven-night ocean cruise, leave at least a few nights open for the changing main restaurant or S.A.L.T. menu. On an expedition, preserve still more flexibility. Confirm cancellation terms for a limited event before booking it on a day when operations or personal energy may change.
Clothing and dietary planning should follow the current ship policy
Silversea changed its published evening approach in June 2026, so restaurant planning should use the dated current policy rather than an old packing PDF. Our Silversea dress-code guide explains the distinction. Shipboard notices and your voyage documents remain the final practical reference.
For an allergy or required diet, discuss the actual menu and preparation arrangements before arriving at a small specialty venue. A large fleetwide restaurant list is not proof that any particular ingredient or substitution is available on a remote expedition. Advance communication gives the team a clearer chance to plan.
Your decision checklist
- Check the exact ship’s S.A.L.T. components
- Read La Dame and Japanese-dinner charges in the current planner
- Use post-refit lists for Muse and Spirit
- Keep expedition meal plans flexible
Questions travelers ask
Is La Dame included on Silversea?
La Dame carries a dinner reservation fee. The current official page distinguishes Nova/Ray pricing from the other listed ships; check My Silversea for your voyage’s amount.
Does every Silversea ship have S.A.L.T. Kitchen?
No. Availability is ship-specific, and recent Muse and Spirit changes make old fleet lists unreliable. Check the vessel’s current restaurant page.
Does Silver Endeavour have La Terrazza?
Its published Italian restaurant is Il Terrazzino. Do not substitute the name of another ship’s venue when planning reservations.
