Ritz-Carlton Yacht Dining: Evrima, Ilma and Luminara Compared
Compare the restaurants on Evrima, Ilma and Luminara, including included dining, Asian venues and the extra-charge S.E.A. and Seta experiences.
Jump to a section
The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection includes most ordinary dining in the fare, but the restaurant names and signature paid experience change with the yacht. Evrima, Ilma and Luminara are not three interchangeable menus.
Choose the route and yacht first, then decide whether one of the additional-charge chef-led dinners deserves a place in the budget. A satisfying week does not require buying every optional experience.
What matters for your decision
- Evrima pairs The Evrima Room and Talaat Nam with S.E.A.; Ilma has Tides, Memorī and Seta su Ilma.
- Luminara has Azur, Haesu Bit and Seta su Luminara, with shared venue names such as Mistral not guaranteeing identical menus.
- Most dining and 24-hour in-suite meals are included; signature tasting experiences and reserve wines can add charges.
Evrima: The Evrima Room, Talaat Nam and S.E.A.
Evrima is the fleet's original yacht. Its official dining material names The Evrima Room, Talaat Nam, Mistral, The Pool House and S.E.A., as well as the private Dining Privée setting. Those names provide a more useful picture than simply counting restaurants.
The Evrima Room provides the main restaurant reference point. Talaat Nam is the Asian dining choice, while Mistral offers an outdoor alternative. S.E.A. is the additional-charge chef-led experience associated with Sven Elverfeld. Obtain the current menu and charge rather than assuming an old review's tasting sequence or price still applies.
Our recommendation is to choose Evrima when its itinerary and smaller-yacht setting appeal, then add S.E.A. if that particular meal interests you. The rest of the dining program remains a meaningful part of the included fare; a premium dinner should be a deliberate addition.
| Ship | Dining distinction | Planning recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| Evrima | The Evrima Room, Talaat Nam, Mistral and The Pool House | Use the included variety before deciding on an optional signature dinner |
| S.E.A. and Dining Privée | Signature chef experience and a separate private-dining setting | Confirm the specific reservation, menu and applicable charge |
Ilma: Tides, Memorī and the Beach House
Ilma has a different restaurant identity. Its published dining directory lists Tides, Memorī, Mistral, Beach House and Seta su Ilma. Do not look for The Evrima Room by name aboard this yacht.
The Ilma material links Beach House with Michael Mina and Latin American and Caribbean influences. Seta su Ilma is the Italian concept associated with Fabio Trabocchi and carries an additional charge. Memorī is the Asian restaurant to investigate when sushi and shared dishes appeal.
This makes Ilma worth comparing for a traveler who is particularly interested in that combination of casual coastal settings, Asian food and a possible Italian celebration meal. Review sample menus together with the itinerary; a restaurant you would visit once should not outweigh a route you would prefer for the whole week.
| Ship | Dining distinction | Planning recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| Ilma | Tides, Memorī, Mistral and Beach House | Check the actual menus to see which included restaurants fit your tastes |
| Seta su Ilma | Chef-led Italian dining with an extra charge | Reserve for a priority occasion after reviewing price and menu |
Luminara: Azur, Haesu Bit and Seta su Luminara
Luminara has its own main and Asian restaurant names: Azur and Haesu Bit. The operator's all-yacht venue matrix also identifies Mistral, Beach House and Seta su Luminara. Shared branding should not be treated as proof that every dish is identical to Ilma's.
Haesu Bit's official description identifies Japanese, Thai and Korean influences, a sushi bar and indoor and outdoor seating. Seta su Luminara is the Fabio Trabocchi Italian experience, with reservations required and an additional fee. These are Luminara-specific confirmations rather than guesses from a sister yacht.
Choose between Ilma and Luminara by the voyage, suite and actual restaurant details available for the departure. If one restaurant's current menu is decisive, ask for it before booking. The most useful comparison is a meal you can realistically enjoy on your own itinerary.
| Ship | Dining distinction | Planning recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| Luminara | Azur, Haesu Bit, Mistral and Beach House | Compare the current Luminara menus rather than importing Ilma’s |
| Seta su Luminara | Italian signature experience; reservation and fee required | Confirm availability and the full meal cost |
Included dining and the exceptions to budget
The official dining FAQ describes most restaurants and 24-hour in-suite dining as part of the inclusive fare. It specifically identifies S.E.A., Seta su Ilma and Seta su Luminara as additional-charge experiences. Reserve wines also carry additional charges beyond the included beverage selection.
That distinction matters when comparing with Four Seasons I, where standard adult lunch and dinner are separately priced. Compare the complete voyage rather than using the same daily food allowance for both products.
Private dining and other customized requests should receive their own quotation. A broad statement that ordinary meals are included is not confirmation that a private room, special celebration arrangement or premium wine selection will be complimentary. Ask for the exact charge attached to the experience you want.
A reservation plan that leaves room for the itinerary
Start with the evening you most care about. If that is the signature restaurant, request it through the appropriate booking channel and confirm availability. Then leave other nights flexible enough to accommodate a late return from port, a longer conversation over drinks or a quiet meal in the suite.
The included in-suite option can be useful after a demanding excursion. It also reduces the pressure to turn every dinner into an outing. Ask which menu is available at your chosen time rather than assuming every restaurant's complete menu can be delivered.
Outdoor meals depend on conditions. Mistral and terrace seating are attractive possibilities, but wind or the yacht's operations may change the best choice on the day. Keep an indoor alternative and allow the staff to advise on timing.
Dietary preferences and the right yacht decision
Send dietary requirements before departure and discuss them again with the restaurant team. For a chef-led menu, ask which adaptations are practical and whether the modified experience still suits your preferences. A broad promise of personalized service should become a specific conversation about the meals you plan to book.
The vegetarian and vegan guide provides useful questions about ingredients and menu variety. The sea-day guide helps avoid scheduling every activity and meal so tightly that the yacht's relaxed pace disappears.
Use CruiseGem's Ritz-Carlton yacht sailings to compare the three vessels and routes. Choose the yacht with the itinerary and included dining you will enjoy most, then treat the additional-charge restaurant as an optional enhancement. This is a source-based planning comparison, not a claim that we have personally sampled every venue.
Your decision checklist
- Match the restaurant names to Evrima, Ilma or Luminara.
- Check the current signature-restaurant menu and supplement.
- Confirm private dining and reserve-wine charges separately.
- Send dietary requirements before the voyage.
- Leave flexible evenings around long port days.
