Explora includes a broad restaurant selection, so the decision is not whether to buy a conventional specialty-dining bundle. It is which ship, itinerary and reservation pattern fit the way you want to eat.
The six-ship roster spans operating vessels and future launches. This guide labels that difference and uses official deck plans and published dining lists rather than assuming all six ships have already delivered the same experience.
What matters for your decision

EXPLORA I and II: choose by route when the core menus suit you
The June 2026 official deck plans for EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II independently identify Sakura, Marble & Co. Grill, Med Yacht Club, Fil Rouge, Emporium Marketplace, Crema Café, Anthology and Gelateria & Crêperie. That common inventory makes the itinerary and suite price a sensible first comparison.
Use the venues for different purposes: a leisurely restaurant dinner, a more flexible marketplace meal, or a café stop before going ashore. Do not turn every day into a sequence of large meals simply to maximize an inclusion. The value comes from eating what you enjoy at times that fit the voyage.
The ships have design differences, but a similar named lineup is not a reason by itself to pay a large premium for one. If both have the restaurants you want, compare usable port time and the suite location you can actually book.

EXPLORA III: the newer poolside concept changes a daytime choice
EXPLORA III's official page highlights Shore Club on 11 at The Conservatory. The Shore Club description presents a relaxed poolside meal setting. That can be useful for travelers who want an unhurried daytime option beyond a marketplace lunch.
The line's newer culinary announcements also discuss a Chef's Table concept. Treat a bespoke or special-event dinner separately from the standard included restaurant list: ask about access, price and the actual format for your voyage before placing it in the budget.
Our recommendation is to choose III when its itinerary and newer public spaces appeal to you, then decide whether the added dining concepts materially improve your own week. A traveler primarily interested in Sakura and Marble & Co. may be just as satisfied by an attractive sailing on I or II.

EXPLORA IV, V and VI: published plans are not operating reviews
EXPLORA IV is published as a 2027 ship, EXPLORA V as a December 2027 launch and EXPLORA VI as an August 2028 launch. These are future products at the September 2026 research check.
The current dining overview explicitly lists Shore Club for III, IV, V and VI, while assigning Gelateria & Crêperie to I and II. This is published evidence for the planned distinction, not an inference from sister ships. Final menus, operating hours and reservation arrangements should still be reconfirmed as each new vessel approaches service.
If a particular restaurant is the deciding factor for an inaugural voyage, ask for the current written inclusions and the named venue list. Early renderings and broad restaurant counts do not establish the final dish selection or guarantee a particular booking time.

Anthology and premium requests need a separate budget
The official dining page places Anthology outside the standard inclusive culinary experiences. Promotions can add a meal, but that is a condition of the booked offer rather than proof that Anthology is always free. Check whether any included dinner covers the tasting menu alone or also a beverage pairing.
For a couple who mainly wants the included restaurants, an optional tasting evening can be a deliberate celebration purchase. It does not need to be justified as a saving. Conversely, do not buy it only because a luxury cruise seems to require the most elaborate dinner.
Keep premium bottles, spirits and special experiences visible in the spending plan. An inclusive cruise can reduce daily decisions without making every possible item complimentary.
Use reservations to support a relaxed voyage
Identify the restaurant most important to you, then check the actual reservation opening and entitlement for your booking. Avoid assuming that a loyalty tier, suite benefit or someone else's sailing gives you the same access. If your preferred time is unavailable, ask about another evening before deciding the ship is unsuitable.

Finally compare Explora Journeys sailings at the complete-suite level. The right voyage combines a comfortable suite, useful destinations and restaurants you will actually enjoy; it does not have to be the newest hull or the most complicated dining plan.

Is Anthology always included?
No. The standard dining description identifies it as an additional epicurean experience. A specific promotion may include a meal; read that offer.
Are EXPLORA IV, V and VI already operating?
They are future launches at this September 2026 check: IV in 2027, V in December 2027 and VI in August 2028 under published plans.
Do I and II have Shore Club?
The current dining overview assigns Gelateria & Crêperie to I and II and Shore Club to III through VI. Confirm the current ship-specific plan.
