Regent includes its standard specialty restaurants, but it does not put every restaurant on every ship. Pacific Rim is a defining choice on Explorer, Splendor and Grandeur; Navigator has a smaller specialty selection. That difference can matter on a long sea-day itinerary, even when both fares cover an enjoyable everyday dining routine.
This guide compares the current published fleet as checked September 20, 2026. Seven Seas Prestige is still a future ship at that date, so its announced Azure and Solmar Terrace concepts appear as plans. Recommendations concern restaurant variety and how to use it; they are not invented food scores.

The restaurant difference worth paying attention to
Explorer, Splendor and Grandeur give you a trio of major specialty cuisines: Prime 7 for steakhouse dining, Chartreuse for a French-inspired evening and Pacific Rim for an Asian-focused menu. Mariner and Voyager keep Prime 7 and Chartreuse; Navigator’s specialty emphasis is Prime 7. Compare those actual choices before treating a larger restaurant count as a reason to spend more.
Compass Rose is the everyday seated restaurant, while La Veranda’s daytime role changes to Sette Mari in the evening. A single physical space can therefore support different meal styles; counting it twice does not mean twice the available seating.

Seven Seas Splendor
Splendor has the same principal specialty trio as Explorer: Prime 7, Chartreuse and Pacific Rim. If you are choosing between the two mainly for food, the restaurant names may not settle the decision. Seven Seas Grandeur
Grandeur also combines Prime 7, Chartreuse and Pacific Rim with the regular Compass Rose and La Veranda/Sette Mari routine. A longer sailing gives this variety more practical value than a short trip with late nights ashore. For a celebration, choose the restaurant’s current menu and atmosphere rather than assuming the newest ship must automatically serve the best meal.

Seven Seas Mariner
Mariner lists Prime 7 and Chartreuse, but not Pacific Rim. That is a meaningful distinction for someone who specifically wants the latter’s menu; it is less important for a traveler who prefers the main restaurant most nights. La Veranda, Sette Mari and the casual choices provide different daily rhythms without requiring a paid dining bundle.

Seven Seas Voyager
Voyager offers Prime 7 and Chartreuse alongside Compass Rose, La Veranda, Sette Mari and casual daytime venues. It is a sensible comparison with Mariner when you want a familiar steakhouse-and-French specialty pairing. Keep an open evening for the main restaurant after a demanding excursion rather than assuming every available reservation improves the day.

Seven Seas Navigator
Navigator’s principal specialty restaurant is Prime 7, supported by Compass Rose, La Veranda, Sette Mari, Pool Grill and Coffee Connection. It does not have the full specialty roster of Explorer, Splendor or Grandeur. Choose it when the itinerary and smaller-ship style fit your priorities; do not promise a Pacific Rim or Chartreuse dinner to a traveling companion.

Seven Seas Prestige: announced late-2026 dining
Prestige’s current published plan adds Azure and Solmar Terrace to familiar Regent names including Compass Rose, Prime 7, Chartreuse, Pacific Rim, La Veranda and Sette Mari. As of September 20, 2026, these are pre-debut plans. A description of the venue concept is not an onboard review or proof of the final operating schedule.
If one of the new concepts drives your booking, ask for its expected service periods and reservation rules before assigning it value. Recheck the information closer to departure, particularly for inaugural-season travel when published plans can still change.

Reserve the experience that matters, keep the routine flexible
Use the advance reservation opportunity for one priority restaurant, then consider the dates of long excursions, sailaways and special occasions. A specialty meal at a poor time can be less enjoyable than Compass Rose at a comfortable hour. If you want to dine together with another booking, coordinate that before each party selects incompatible times.
Ask about additional reservations once onboard without treating them as guaranteed benefits. Be open to another date or time if the preferred slot is full. Included dining is valuable because the ordinary meal does not add a cover charge; the capacity of a restaurant still limits how many people can eat there simultaneously.
Use lunch and dinner as separate decisions
La Veranda can suit an unhurried breakfast or a flexible lunch, while Sette Mari changes the evening mood in the same area. Check that day’s opening information rather than assuming every venue serves every meal. Pool Grill may be the more useful choice when you want a quick pause between activities.
For a seven-night Explorer-class cruise, consider a specialty dinner every other night and use Compass Rose between them. On Navigator, let Prime 7 be the planned highlight and judge the ship by the quality of the whole itinerary rather than by the absence of restaurants you would rarely use. These are example routines, not reservation entitlements.

Does every Regent ship have Pacific Rim?
No. The established ships with Pacific Rim are Explorer, Splendor and Grandeur. It is also announced for Prestige. Do not expect it on Mariner, Voyager or Navigator.
Do Regent specialty restaurants cost extra?
Standard specialty restaurant meals are included, but reservations remain subject to availability. Confirm any separate premium item or special experience before ordering.
Is Navigator a poor choice because it has fewer specialties?
Not necessarily. It has a smaller specialty selection, so choose based on the itinerary and how often you would actually use additional restaurants. Prime 7 and the everyday venues can suit a traveler who prefers a simpler routine.
