Carnival Vista’s food plan works best when you distinguish a venue’s lunch service from its dinner service. Pasta lunch, JiJi dinner and Vista's outdoor barbecue
The Captain's Pasta Bar offers an included lunch on Vista. Choose a pasta shape, sauce and available meat additions for a made-to-order dish. Cucina del Capitano's evening service has a separate menu and charge, so check both meal periods when planning a visit.
JiJi Asian Kitchen offers a paid dinner. The sample menu includes pork belly with a chili-and-vinegar sauce, duck prepared in Nanjing style and shrimp in a sweet, spicy Singapore-inspired sauce. Compare those flavors with the Italian and steakhouse menus, and ask about heat levels or dietary adjustments before ordering.
Vista's Guy's Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que is an open-air lunch venue. Carnival lists smoked meats with sides such as potato salad and collard greens. Check its scheduled service for a sea-day lunch; Horizon's full Smokehouse–Brewhouse dinner menu does not apply to this location.
JiJi, Cucina or Fahrenheit 555 for a Vista dinner?
For one specialty dinner, JiJi is a strong menu to inspect when the party wants something different from steakhouse and Italian options. Choose Fahrenheit 555 when the celebration specifically calls for a traditional steakhouse, and Cucina when Italian food is the common ground. Avoid booking on reputation alone if the sample menu contains little the group wants.
For a budget plan, rotate a pasta lunch, barbecue service, BlueIguana and the deli around the Main Dining Room. That gives the holiday different meal formats without making every occasion an extra bill. If you want seafood as a small treat, compare an order at Seafood Shack with a full paid dinner; portion and purpose matter.

Check lunch hours at the beginning of each sea day, especially for pasta and barbecue. Port-day schedules may differ. Choose a venue that fits your activities and note an alternative in case you return after it closes.
The first-meal offers advertised for Cucina and Chibang on the three Excel-class ships are not a blanket Carnival policy. Vista’s reservation price and terms control. Keep the paid dinner total, any service charge and the cancellation deadline with your booking, and leave one evening open for a port day when you may prefer an easy buffet meal.
