Guy’s Burger Joint: the straightforward Carnival pick
Carnival’s Guy’s Burger Joint is an included lunch venue serving burgers and seasoned fries. The current sample menu starts with Plain Jane, an 80/20 ground-chuck patty on a grilled roll with optional cheese. Straight Up adds lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and the signature mayonnaise-based sauce. Choose that if you want a recognizable cheeseburger before adding more toppings.
For a heavier, sweet-and-smoky order, The Ringer adds barbecue sauce and a spicy onion ring; Pig Patty adds a crispy-bacon patty. Firenze and Venezia have Italian-style variations, including a pepperoni pizza burger and Super Melty Mootz. Those are useful menu differences if you are choosing between otherwise similar Carnival sailings. Compare Firenze or Venezia for the Italian variations, and Jubilee for a broader included-food plan.
Where Guy’s is available, and when to go
Carnival’s dining inventory lists Luminosa’s Off the Grill, while the Topside Grill page identifies Adventure and Encounter. Do not turn a broad Guy’s fleet description into a promise for every ship. Poolside operating hours should not be confused with round-the-clock food. If Guy’s is a highlight, plan lunch around the ship’s posted service window instead of waiting until after a late excursion.
Treat Guy’s as a lunch plan: the official page labels the meal period as lunch, so it is a poor backup for a late-night craving. On a sea day, fit it around pool time; after a long excursion, check whether service is still running. The Carnival included-dining guide helps identify another meal when the burger counter has closed.
Dive-In: a different style of included burger
Holland America’s Dive-In menu gives you distinct combinations, including the cheddar-based High-Dive and a Cannonball with Gouda, bacon and caramelized onion. That makes it a useful choice when you prefer a defined recipe to building your own stack. Confirm the venue and operating hours on your selected ship.
Dive-In works well when a group wants burgers and other grill food from one stop. Start with the Cannonball if bacon and a sweeter onion topping appeal; choose the High-Dive when cheddar is the priority. Compare a ship such as Rotterdam or Nieuw Statendam with your preferred itinerary. For meat-free orders, check the assembled burger as well as the patty: buns, cheese and sauces determine whether it meets a vegan requirement.
Celebrity Mast Grill: the easy included poolside choice
Celebrity’s Apex complimentary-dining page explicitly includes Mast Grill and describes burgers, salads and sandwiches by the pool. That is a useful choice when you want to stay near the outdoor activities and eat without a specialty reservation. The wider Pool/Mast listing names several ships, including Edge, Apex, Beyond, Ascent and the established Solstice- and Millennium-class ships.
Choose Mast Grill for a straightforward included lunch, then compare a paid restaurant only if its setting or menu adds something you want. A Luminae burger mentioned in a suite review does not establish ordinary-cabin access to Luminae. The official pages used here do not publish one universal patty recipe, so check the current grill menu if a specific blend is important to you.
Princess Salty Dog: choose the grill or the Gastropub deliberately
Princess’s Salty Dog page separates the complimentary top-deck Café/Grill from the Salty Dog Gastropub on Ruby Princess. Its linked grill sample menu offers a simple Prime Burger, a bacon-topped BLT Burger and a Texas Burger with chili, cheddar and onion. A vegetarian burger and grilled chicken sandwich give companions alternatives without requiring a second restaurant.
For an included poolside meal, investigate the grill on a listed ship such as Sky Princess or Discovery Princess. For a more elaborate pub-style meal, compare Ruby Princess: the current page lists its Gastropub at $14.99 per adult plus service charge, with applicable package coverage. Its advertised SDG burger uses a rib-eye-and-short-rib blend with Gruyère, jalapeño and onion-aioli elements. Confirm the actual menu and benefit before ordering; the same Salty Dog branding does not make the grill and Gastropub interchangeable.
Virgin’s Galley burger grill: good for a group with different cravings
Virgin’s dining directory places a burger grill among The Galley’s food-hall choices. That makes it a useful adults-only option when one person wants a burger and another wants noodles, tacos or a salad at the same informal meal. Standard eatery food is included, with drinks and separately identified premium extras needing their own check.
Keep the burger grill distinct from Diner & Dash, the 24-hour American diner. The directory identifies those as different offerings and promotes the overnight diner for breakfast food; it does not promise that the burger counter runs all night. When a paid diner can be worth it
Royal Caribbean’s Johnny Rockets Express is a paid burger-and-fries alternative on ships that offer that format. Other ships have a seated Johnny Rockets restaurant. Choose it when the diner outing, shakes or particular menu are part of the attraction, then check whether the order has a cover charge, item pricing or separate drinks. Express and the seated format are different purchases.
A ship such as Navigator of the Seas has Express on its current official restaurant list; use the Royal restaurant-by-ship guide for the exact vessel. Price the food and drink order you would actually buy before comparing it with an included lunch. If all you want is a quick cheeseburger, start with the ship’s included options and save the restaurant budget for a meal that adds a different experience.

Our first shortlist for a burger-centered included lunch is Guy’s for toppings and Dive-In for its named combinations. Mast Grill fits a Celebrity pool day; Princess’s grill offers familiar burgers and alternatives; Virgin’s Galley is useful when the group wants different foods. Ruby’s Gastropub and Johnny Rockets deserve a separate spending decision because their meal format is part of the purchase.
Use the burger as a tie-breaker between cruises you already want. Compare pizza, late-night food and the evening restaurants alongside cabin fares and ports. A modestly better lunch is unlikely to justify an inconvenient flight or an itinerary that misses your preferred destinations.
