Norwegian Prima’s most useful dining feature is that a food-hall meal can replace a specialty lunch without feeling like the same buffet again. Indulge, Hudson’s and The Local provide distinct included formats. That makes it worth testing your appetite for paid restaurants before purchasing extra meals.
The important exception is that not everything near or inside the food hall is free. NCL lists Coco’s separately as à la carte. Keep those item-level differences in mind, then compare Palomar, Onda, Hasuki and the other specialty venues by the meal you want.

Which restaurants are included on Norwegian Prima?
Prima’s current roster lists The Local Bar & Grill, Surfside Café, Surfside Grill, Hudson’s, The Commodore Room and Indulge Food Hall as complimentary. The Haven Restaurant is for eligible Haven guests. Coco’s appears separately as an à la carte sweet shop located inside Indulge, so a food-hall location alone does not establish inclusion.

Indulge is the value anchor, with a sweets exception
The Prima onboard page makes the distinction clearly: Indulge Food Hall is complimentary, while Coco’s is an à la carte outlet. That matters for a family whose children see desserts beside an included lunch. Agree on paid treats before ordering, and read the charge rather than relying on the venue’s physical location.
Indulge is useful when one person wants a small plate and another wants several cuisines. Our recommendation is to start with a modest order, then add more if needed. That reduces waste and gives the group time to find the dishes it likes. The fact that the meal is included does not make ordering the largest possible amount the best experience.
Palomar provides a Mediterranean and seafood-oriented specialty alternative. Onda is the Italian choice, while Food Republic has a small-plates format. Those restaurants can appeal to different appetites, and any dining benefit may define what constitutes a meal differently. Compare the actual allowance before assuming a credit gives unrestricted ordering at every venue.
Which meal is worth booking first?
For a first Prima trip, use Hudson’s for an included served dinner and Indulge for a flexible lunch before adding extra specialty bookings. If the desired upgrade is a seafood-focused evening, inspect Palomar. If it is a social grill experience, choose Hasuki. If the aim is sushi or small plates, compare Nama and Food Republic without assuming the two are interchangeable.
Onda can be a sensible choice for a group whose shared preference is Italian food; Le Bistro or Cagney’s may suit a more conventional celebration. The best use of a dining benefit is the meal the group would have wanted without the promotion. A nominally more expensive option is poor value if half the party dislikes its menu.
Build a dining plan around the actual sailing
Use Ocean Boulevard’s outdoor dining possibilities when the conditions suit you, with an indoor alternative for wind, temperature or rain. The view is a benefit only if the table is comfortable. For a port-heavy itinerary, avoid scheduling a major specialty dinner immediately after a long lunch ashore; leave enough appetite and time to enjoy it.
Check the exact dining benefit attached to each passenger and distinguish it from the separate beverage package. Main dining, specialty credits and Haven access are different categories. If someone in the cabin has fewer meals included than another guest, price the remaining meals before making a group reservation.
