Is Celebrity All Included Worth It? Drinks, Wi-Fi and the Missing Extras

Obtain two comparable quotes

Ask for the cruise-only and All Included totals for the same ship, date, cabin category, occupancy and cancellation conditions. Celebrity’s current offer page says guests in the same stateroom choose the same rate and describes selection at booking. For an existing reservation, ask Celebrity or your agent about options rather than assuming a package can simply be attached later.

Subtract the cruise-only total from the All Included total. If the difference is a hypothetical $700 for two guests on seven nights, the effective extra is $50 per person per day. Compare that with the eligible drinks and internet each person would otherwise buy. The $700 is an example, not a current Celebrity quote.

Match deposit and cancellation conditions as well as the cabin. A lower fare may require a nonrefundable deposit, so it is not always a like-for-like alternative. Our booking and payment guide explains the terms to compare.

Value Classic drinks using your preferences

The All Included FAQ confirms the standard Classic package and beverage gratuities. Its older drink-price examples are not fully consistent with the newer beverage FAQ. Use the package description and current menu attached to your sailing for specific allowances instead of relying on an old universal dollar cap.

List the drinks you actually enjoy. Specialty coffee, eligible bottled water and other nonalcoholic choices can contribute value, but Classic does not include every item in the separate nonalcoholic or Premium package. Room service and minibar are not covered by the standard drink-package rules. Check a favorite wine or spirit before assuming you need to upgrade.

If only a few drinks exceed Classic's allowance, compare the price differences with the full Premium upgrade. Celebrity's current rule generally requires all guests of legal drinking age in the cabin to hold the same package, including upgrades. It lists nonalcoholic substitutions for certain exceptions; have Celebrity confirm the arrangement and charges for your party. Packages cannot be shared.

Decide whether Basic Wi-Fi is enough

Celebrity’s Wi-Fi FAQ distinguishes Basic access from Premium features. Basic is suited to lighter online use; activities such as streaming and video calling require the appropriate higher tier. Internet access remains dependent on ship and connection conditions, even when the package supports the activity.

A traveler who only wants occasional messages should not assign Basic the retail value of an unlimited high-tier plan they would never buy. A remote worker who needs video meetings should add the upgrade cost before deciding All Included solves the connectivity requirement. Celebrity's app FAQ confirms that the app works free on the ship's Guest Wi-Fi without an internet package. If you only need onboard schedules, reservations and account tools, do not buy All Included just to use the app. Basic Wi-Fi provides a separate connection to services outside the ship.

Keep gratuities and other extras visible

The standard current All Included bundle includes beverage-package gratuities, while staff gratuities are charged separately. This is the difference that older descriptions of drinks, Wi-Fi and tips can obscure. Keep the applicable daily staff charge in both comparison columns so you do not credit the bundle with paying it.

Guests in The Retreat should compare the suite’s actual Premium drinks and Wi-Fi inclusions with the alternatives. Do not add the standard All Included calculation to a suite quote that already contains those benefits. The same caution applies to loyalty perks or promotional credits: count each usable benefit once.

Use a conservative whole-voyage estimate

For a hypothetical $700 fare difference, a couple expecting $420 of eligible drinks and $180 of internet purchases would otherwise spend $600. All Included costs $100 more in that case. If the drinks estimate rises to $600 while internet remains $180, the separate purchases total $780 and the bundle saves $80. These are spending assumptions, not Celebrity menu prices.

Estimate port days separately from sea days and let each traveler provide their own numbers. A package should fit the holiday you want, not encourage additional consumption.
