FLRATE is a documented access key, with conditions
Virgin's Virgin Voyages: Promotion FAQs identifies FLRATE for Florida residents on eligible voyages, with savings of up to 15% on the voyage fare. The FAQ calls for residency evidence such as a Florida driver's license or utility bill at embarkation. This is a published eligibility-based key, not a universal coupon for travelers everywhere.

A second-sailor percentage is not the cabin percentage
In the terms checked for the September 1–November 2, 2026 booking window, Virgin explains its 70%-off-second-sailor offer as a 35% reduction for each eligible sailor. The offer excludes specified solo cabin categories. Use that as a reminder to compare your party's actual total, rather than reading the largest percentage as a discount on the entire cabin.
For a hypothetical pair with equal $1,000 base fares, 70% off the second produces $1,300 together: $700 off $2,000, or 35%. Now suppose an otherwise equivalent agent quote costs $1,350 with $100 of credit you would fully use. Its effective value is $50 better, although you pay $50 more upfront. If the credit buys nothing you want, the lower cash fare is preferable.
