Two neutral bottoms with several tops can cover a week without making every meal look identical. A lightweight cardigan, jacket or wrap adds flexibility between indoor dining and an evening deck walk. Choose the fabric for the route: a humid Caribbean cruise and an autumn North Atlantic crossing should not have identical layers.
The casual alternative should be chosen deliberately
A buffet dinner can be a good choice if dressing up does not appeal to you, especially after a busy excursion. Check which casual venues actually serve dinner and which are only open earlier in the day. A pizzeria mentioned on a ship page is not proof that it is open at the hour you want.
