MSC Grandiosa, Virtuosa and Euribia: Meraviglia Plus Compared
Compare MSC Grandiosa, Virtuosa and Euribia: Carousel entertainment, Starship Club, galleria dining, Yacht Club and cabin-layout tradeoffs.
Jump to a section
Grandiosa, Virtuosa and Euribia share an LED-roofed indoor promenade, covered pool options and a large choice of evening venues. Their biggest distinctions are the entertainment and specialty restaurants, alongside the itinerary and room you can book.
Virtuosa has the Starship Club’s robotic bartender. Euribia uses its Carousel Lounge for live music and offers Le Grill, while Grandiosa stages paid Carousel productions. These differences are more useful for choosing an evening program than ship age alone.
What matters for your decision
- The indoor galleria and covered options support varied weather conditions.
- Central indoor spaces can concentrate activity and noise.
- Check each ship's Carousel format and charges; Euribia does not inherit every show from its sisters.
The LED galleria at the center of the ship
The LED-roofed promenade connects restaurants, shops and meeting places indoors. Covered pool space provides another alternative when wind or rain limits time on the open decks. Grandiosa, Virtuosa and Euribia are larger developments of the original Meraviglia and Bellissima design.
Grandiosa, Virtuosa and Euribia
| Ship | What distinguishes the choice |
|---|---|
| MSC Grandiosa | Carousel Productions currently lists Strings and Sweet. Specialty options include Butcher’s Cut, Kaito and HOLA! Tacos & Cantina. |
| MSC Virtuosa | Starship Club features the robotic bartender Rob. Carousel Productions lists Ajedrez and Chronicles. |
| MSC Euribia | Carousel Lounge hosts live music. Le Grill offers French-influenced dining, and Helios Wine Maker combines wine service with interactive tables. |
Carousel programming and indoor alternatives for rainy days
Grandiosa’s Strings and Sweet and Virtuosa’s Ajedrez and Chronicles are paid Carousel Productions, booked separately from the cruise fare. Euribia’s Carousel Lounge has a live-music format. Check your sailing’s times before arranging dinner around a performance.
Pools, waterpark features, sports and family clubs broaden the daytime choice. Treat premium simulators and other paid activities separately in the budget. A rainy afternoon can concentrate demand on indoor venues, so identify more than one suitable fallback.
Le Grill on Euribia and Rob’s cocktails on Virtuosa
The galleria makes dining and bars part of the central public-space experience. Main dining rooms and buffet meals remain the included foundation, with specialty restaurants offering optional alternatives.
Euribia’s Le Grill and Helios Wine Maker distinguish its food-and-drink choices. Virtuosa’s Starship Club lets Rob prepare a cocktail. These are specific paid purchases; check the venue’s eligibility under your dining or drinks package rather than assuming the package covers every outlet.
Duplex stairs, balcony views and galleria noise
Yacht Club and Aurea are different accommodation/experience choices. Confirm the exact private spaces, restaurant and services attached to the selected room. A duplex suite introduces internal stairs that may be a poor fit for some travelers despite its generous size.
Balcony categories include variations in view and location. Check lifeboats, structural obstructions and the deck above. Studios or solo-marketed rooms should be compared on the actual layout and price rather than assumed to come with a separate social lounge.
The indoor galleria may make a central room attractive for convenience, but cabins near busy venues deserve a noise-location check. Favor a layout that supports the group’s sleep and mobility needs over a broadly described premium deck.
For an indoor social circuit and varied entertainment
Meraviglia Plus suits travelers who want indoor meeting places, covered pool options and a broad evening program. The galleria is convenient in poor weather, though its central location also concentrates foot traffic.
Choose Seaside-family ships if outdoor lounging is the main attraction, and World if the specific family districts or newest venue concepts matter. Within Plus, choose the actual ship’s entertainment and route rather than treating the newest hull as the automatic winner.
Pros and cons
| Advantages | Compromises |
|---|---|

| Yacht Club and varied room categories give several ways to configure the trip. | Paid experiences and duplex layouts require careful expectation-setting. |
Other ships to consider
Compare original Meraviglia for the smaller form of the galleria design, Seaside EVO for an outdoor emphasis, and World for a different megaship layout.
